"Untitled" (working title) is a pluridisciplinal artistic research on the representation of people with intellectual disabilities in archival and contemporary photography.

This ongoing project is subdivised in different chapters, each of them reflecting on a specific matter related to (in)visibilization processes.

The first chapter, "Christian" (2021), is an audio stroll made from recordings of conversations with my uncle, Christian VV, who happens to be an artist living with Down syndrome.

The second chapter takes the form of a master thesis (mentored in 2023 by historian and disability studies scholar Anaïs Van Ertvelde) delving into visual rhetorics of disabilities and more specifically in the context of the representation of people with Down syndrome in contemporary photography.
It also reflects on ethics of (co-)creation with vulnerabilized persons.

The third chapter is in preparation. I am looking forward to sharing it :)
